Jessica Alba - Where Has She Been and What She's Up to Next
For actress Jessica Alba, 2011 has kept her busy in her personal life while her film roles have taken a backseat, for now.
Alba turned 30 in April just before she gave birth to another baby girl, Haven Garner, with husband Cash Warren this summer. In August, Alba hit the big screen again in "Spy Kids: All The Time In the World." It was her only major motion picture of the year, as she seems to be taking time to be with her two daughters and husband. Last weekend, she attended the gala for the Clinton Foundation at the Hollywood Palladium whose guest list had celebrities like Usher, Lady Gaga, and Fergie. The former "Dark Angel" star was also spotted getting into the Halloween spirit with her girls at a pumpkin patch in L.A. and she even tweeted some pictures of the costume she's making for her eldest daughter, Honor.
So what's next for the sultry brunette "Fantastic Four" star? Well, first there's a matter of ! a lawsui t she's bringing against a company that makes a weight-loss product that Alba and her legal team claim illegally used her likeness to spike sales. She's suing for a million dollars in damages as well as a piece of the company's profits. While the company's website has taken down Alba's image, those of Minnie Driver and Kourtney Kardashian remain, and there's not been any word if they will be pursuing legal recourse with the company as well. Alba says that she's actually been working hard to lose the post-baby weight but that it's not been that easy for her, "I'm working out every day, even just for 45 minutes is good for my mental state. Getting dressed and actually doing it is the worst. It's hard to get motivated."
While 2010 was a hectic year for the "Machete" actress, her slate of movies for next year is so far looking to be just as scaled-back as 2011 was. Her only listed project for 2012 is as a vocal performer in the animated film "Escape from Planet Earth." Directed by Callan Brunker, it's the story of an astronaut who gets caught up in an adventure after answering a distress call from an alien planet. Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, James Gandolfini, Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry are also providing voices for the film.
