Jessica Alba suing Belly Bandit for using her name without permission

New mom Jessica Alba is suing a company for using her name and image without her permission to sell a product devised for post-pregnancy bodies.

TMZ reports the 30-year-old actress is suing Belly Bandit for more than $1 million in damages because the company prominently featured and posted a photograph of Alba, and listed her name under the 'Celebrity Testimonials' section of their Website.

The lawsuit also says the packaging for the post-pregnancy belly wrap features an unauthorized endorsement that reads, "Jessica Alba's #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!

In addition to the $1 million in damages, she is also seeking profits made by Belly Bandit through the use of her name and likeness. Alba said the company intentionally deceived the public into thinking she endorses their products, which boosted sales.

The Fantastic Four star and husband Cash Warren welcomed their second daughter, Haven, in August. Alba spoke to Lucky magazine shortly after giving birth about her plans to lose the post-pregnancy weight, which included diet and exercise.
