Is Jessica Alba the Poor Womans Gwyneth Paltrow?

Image
Though it's hard to consider any rich Hollywood actress relatable, Jessica Alba is positioning herself as the poor woman's Gwyneth Paltrow . Unlike the British expat, who promotes such expensive items as $150 sweat pants, Alba is all about "repurposing things and making things at home." Whereas Paltrow might search the world for the most expensive organic household cleaning products, Alba suggests making them yourself the "old fashioned way" with lemons and vinegar. Paltrow advises women who want to be as skinny as twigs to hire a personal trainer to come to their homes once a week (preferable on Mondays); Alba recommends a cheaper alternative ! - "chasing your three-year-old around." Ironically, Paltrow promoted Alba's business The Honest Company on her lifestyle blog GOOP last May and even gushed about the "Good Luck Chuck" star's earth-friendly goods. "Not only are the diapers incredibly cute, but they are also mad...

Jessica Alba admits she was a 'completely insane' child. The 'Sin City' star - who has two daughters, Honor, four, and Haven, 20 months, with her husband Cash Warren - claims she was a very naughty child and never listened to authority. Asked what she was like as a child, the 31-year-old actress told designer clothing website ToryBurch.com: 'Crazy. I was completely insane. I was a precocious little stinker and challenged authority left and right.' The budding entrepreneur, who recently launched her own lifestyle brand and book 'The Honest Life' with tips for healthy eating and parenting, revealed that her own children are also extremely 'strong willed'. She said: 'They're both pretty strong willed in their own ways. I grew up in an environment where kids are seen, not heard, and I don't really do that with them. I bring Honor into our environment, have her travel with us and expose her to a lot of different cultures and experiences. W...

Jessica Alba is "much more grounded" than Gwyneth Paltrow.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, the 31-year-old actress said: "Alicia Silverstone is a vegan, so she's the extreme side of it. Gwyneth Paltrow probably lives a very similar lifestyle, but I didn't grow up with a bunch of money, so my tips are much more grounded: repurposing things and making things at home." The mother-of-two - who shares daughters Honor, four, and Haven, 19 months, with her husband Cash Warren - claims that her lifestyle tips are also much less expensive and extreme. She said: "I absolutely do these things. That's why I wrote the book. There's lots of options, like delivery services for fresh produce that is organic, if people just want to do a couple of things in the book that are super-easy...You can take what you want from the book." Gwyneth - who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - recently came under fire for admitting that her children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, sometimes feel hungry after dinner because th...
