Jessica Alba will only accept roles which are worth leaving her kids for.

Speaking in the new issue of Britain's Glamour magazine, she said: "When you have kids, you kind of think, 'I don't need to work just to work.'

"I want to sink my teeth into a character that makes it worth not being with my kids, or not being at the office."

Although Jessica is still proud to be an actress in demand, she insists nothing gives her greater satisfaction than being a good mother and wife.

The 'Machete Kills' star added: "Having kids, having strong relationships with my husband, my friends, that it is my priority ... that's what really defines me, not a movie opening or a poster or an endorsement."

As well as acting, Jessica has also launched her own eco-friendly lifestyle brand The Honest Company which sells organically-produced baby products and her motivation for bringing out her own products was a personal concern for the welfare of her kids.

She said: "I am not approaching it like an actress, I'm approaching it like a mom, and I just want the best for my family and I feel like all

mothers do. You can't really argue with that."
