Jessica Alba: Cartoon star is so stylish
Jessica Alba's fashion inspiration comes from her idols, including "Daria, the cartoon character on TV".
The actress, who is a style icon herself, discussed which female figures she admires the most.
The mother-of-two joked that she spends so much time watching kids' TV that it influences her outfit choices.
"I've always loved Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, because they're timeless and chic. And I love Kate Moss, because she's rock 'n' roll, and I'm a bit of a nerd about it," Jessica laughed to the US edition of Women's Health magazine. "Daria, the cartoon character on TV, is also one of my fashion icons."
The actress has suffered a few wardrobe mishaps in the past, just like everyone else. Jessica shared one particularly gruesome ensemble she once rocked that still makes her cringe to this day.
What do I regret wearing? Theres so many, I dont think I could choose just one, she admitted. I definitely rocked a Lycra unitard-y thing One fluorescent colour on one side, another fluorescent colour on the other side with keyhole cut-outs all the way up the body. I rocked it so hard with my Doc Martens.
Nowadays, Jessica rarely puts a fashion foot wrong. She has some style staples that help pull a look together, including neutral T-shirts, a couple of well-fitted coats and a tailored blazer.
"Navy or black blazers are an easy way to look stylish. Pair one with an A-line dress, maxi skirt and tank, or T-shirt and jeans. I love Cline, Narciso Rodriguez, and Givenchy; for less expensive options, check Topshop, H&M, J. Crew, and the boys' section at Brooks Brothers," Jessica finished.
