- DVF Fall 2013 Collection Perfect For
The designer sent a vibrant, glam rock collection down the runway. Browse the looks right here!
Life Is A Party, was the theme of Diane Von Furstenbergs Fall 2013 collection, and the runway show appropriately felt more like a party than a fashion show, with disco music blaring while the models emerged from a cloud of smoke. The packed house was transported back to Studio 54, while Cara Delevingne was the first model to emerge, sauntering down the catwalk to Love to Love You Baby. If anyone knows how to define effortless glamour its definitely DVF, and her latest collection was no exception. Her signature vibrant prints ruled the runway, as did a burst of bright colors and sexy, flowing gowns.
The collection was extremely versatile from appropriate looks for work to wearable outerwear and gorgeous gowns, theres easily something for everyone in the line. For example, there were printed wrap dresses that can easily take you from desk to dinner to the finale dress, a turquoise chiffon halter maxi that looked like it came right off a yacht party.
The collection lived up to the glam rock vibe and was loaded with brights and metallics a modern take on looks that seem like they came right out of Studio 54 themselves. There were gold lam jackets, hot pink pants, belted chiffon dresses in bright jewel tones and fur detailing on jackets and vests.
Stylish stars that always look great on-the-go, like Jessica Alba and Miranda Kerr, would look amazing in the collection, while I could see the outerwear and metallic pants on Shay Mitchell</strong>.
The front row was packed with stars, including Kat McPhee, Shay Mitchell and Sarah Jessica Parker but no one was having as much fun as Diane herself. The designer danced down the runway to Chaka Khans 1978 classic, Im Every Woman, while singing and stopping along the way to greet the guests. It looks like life really is a party for DVF, and for a few minutes on Sunday we were invited into her glam rock world.
