Jessica Alba: Perfume isnt my passion

Jessica Alba cant understand why people would want her to create a celebrity perfume over a natural product line.

The actress launched The Honest Company earlier this year, which includes non-toxic, eco-friendly baby diapers, wipes, and organic bath and skin care.

Jessica was baffled by the response to her new project.

People didnt get it, she says when she announced she was releasing a product line. Theyd say, Youre a celebrity. You should do a perfume! But thats not what Im passionate about.

It was so difficult to find affordable, non-toxic baby products that I decided it was a huge social injustice. I wanted to create a company that fixed that.

Jessica isn't concerned with the financial benefits of The Honest Company. The stunning star - who has two daughters with husband Cash Warren - would rather create products she feels strongly about.

Im not getting paid a bunch of money to endorse this. I was actually losing money by not doing other things! she laughed. If Im going to be away from my children, it has to be something I feel great about.

Despite her new range, Jessica insists she isn't too caught up in the alternative vibe surrounding eco-friendly goods.

"I dont like that whole yoga-and-patchouli-oil vibe. Why does everything eco have to have a green leaf on it? she mused.
