Jessica Simpson throws a baby shower

Jessica Simpson's A-list baby shower brought together famous friends Jessica Alba, Gwen Stefani and Ali Larter at the singer's Hollywood Hills home Sunday afternoon. Simpson's younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, was also in attendance, X17.com reports.

While the ladies took over the house to celebrate, Simpson's fiance, football player Eric Johnson, was banished to Casa Vega Mexican restaurant.

After keeping mum for months about her pregnancy, Simpson let the cat out of the bag via Twitter on Halloween, when celebrity watchers estimated she was already about six months along. The pregnancy was one of the worst kept secrets in entertainment, and OK! Magazine ran a cover story Oct. 19 with a picture of the blonde chanteuse "exclaiming," Yes! Im having a baby, weeks before Simpson confirmed it.

Jessica Simpson had an A-list baby shower Sunday.

Lately, Simpson can't stop tweeting about being pregnant. "The average person expels flatulence 15 times each day! The average pregnant woman farts 15 times that!" she wrote earlier this month.

A few days later, she tweeted a photo of herself in a new dress. "My belly is officially bigger than my boobs..well kinda...ha," she said.

Simpson is apparently planning to shed her baby weight quickly, though. Sources tell Us Weekly that the singer is in talks to represent Weight Watchers, in a deal worth $4 million. Simpson would have a year to "lose a significant amount of weight" to become a spokeswoman for the dieting giant, alongside Jennifer Hudson.

Insiders say that Simpson was actually on board to represent the company even before she found out she was having a baby. "Then she got pregnant," says the source. "So this was the perfect compromise."
