Jessica Alba is often hailed for her on point chic daytime style, and we're not ones to disagree as the gorgeous Hollywood actress stepped out in New York today looking lovelier than ever.

The 31-year-old yummy mummy of daughters Honor and Haven went solo to run a few errands in the Big Apple today, leaving 13-month-old Haven at the playground with a nanny.

Jessica was spotted strolling through New York's Soho District looking relaxed and a little relieved to have a some alone time, and her style showed it as she looked super cute in a monochrome outfit.

The IntoThe Blue star teamed a black and white printed pair of trousers featuring block pannelling on the sides with a low cut black top and a motorcycle leather jacket.

Wearing her ombre dip-dyed locks in a loose, casual style, Jessica looked youthful with her fresh style and wore a natural make-up look with a sheer red lippy. She completed the look with a black tasselled shoulder bag and open toe silver sandal heels.

Jessica has revealed she worries about her struggles to balance motherhood with her acting career, admitting to Celebuzz: "I don't think I balance it very well.''

"I feel like I'm always compromising something, but my kids' happiness [is] my priority. Everything else is secondary, and I just try to do my best," she added.

And Jessica, who has suffered with an eating disorder in the past, said that becoming a mum has made her much less critical of herself and her figure, stating that her body has changed dramatically since having her children. Not from what we can see!

She went on: "I don't really care about my body image anymore because it just doesn't matter now that I have children.''

''Instead, I focus on my health, feeling strong, and making sure I'm up and running so I can spend that all-important time with the girls.''
