Jessica Alba to be given special Environmental Media Award
Jessica Alba is to be given a special honour at the 2012 Environmental Media Association Awards. The Sin City 2 actress will receive the organisation's 2012 Green Parent Award at their September 29 gala at Warner Bros Studios. EMA president Debbie Levin said in a statement to E! News that Alba's commitment to environmental causes should inspire other parents. Levin commented: "Becoming a parent is life-changing and brings into focus the priority of healthy choices and the responsibility of the environmental sustainability of our planet. "Jessica is a great example of how you can turn that passion into positive change." Alba has founded her own Honest Company to promote green products and also has outspokenly supported the Safe Chemicals Act.
