Jessica Alba lands film festival honour

Jessica Alba was the toast of Italy's Giffoni Film Festival on Saturday after landing a top honour.

The event is the largest children's film festival in Europe, and the Fantastic Four star helped kicked off the celebrations this weekend.

Alba, a mother of two, was handed the Giffoni Award during her appearance, and she met with young members of the audience to talk about her career.

In a post on her Twitter page, she writes, "I had such an amazing time giffoni2012."
