Jessica Alba Bails on Oscars With "Terrible Illness"

Jessica Alba is calling in sick.

The stunning 30-year-old actress and stylish mother of two was set to grace the red carpet at Sunday's Academy Awards in Los Angeles-- but alas, it wasn't to be.

Just a couple hours before major celebs began arriving at the Kodak Theater, the New Year's Eve star tweeted: "bailed out of #oscar festivities 2nite due to this terrible illness."

The star is consoling herself with "matzah ball soup," Facebook, Twitter and TV.

Alba (who has daughters Honor, 3, and Haven, 6 months, with hubby Cash Warren) complained on Saturday, "This cold sinus thing is awesome."
