Jessica Alba puts her family first

Jessica Alba has confessed that she has consciously put less time into her acting career since having her two children, 3 year-old Honor and 5 month-old Haven Garner, as she doesnt want to miss a moment of their childhoods.

In an interview with Parade, the actress said, Work takes a backseat. Before, I'd have two weeks off around Christmas, but I never really did birthdays, or I'd be working in a country that didn't celebrate certain holidays. Now it's about family and capturing those moments. When I do work, it's fun and I take some risks.

When asked how she manages to balance work and looking after her children, she admitted, I don't think I balance it, to be honest. It's hard, overwhelming and it's not anything I ever feel I am doing perfectly right. I wish there were two of me and 48-hour days so I could get everything done.

But for me, I have to not try and think that everything has to be 100% perfect all the time and leave room for error. As long as my kids feel loved and a priority, everything really is secondary."

During an interview with CNN's A.J. Hammer, Jessica revealed that she is much calmer with her second child, saying, It's not as daunting and I'm not so anxious. Where with Honor, I was like 'When is she going to sit up? When is she going to eat solids?' Now I'm like, 'She'll do it eventually.'

She added, It doesn't even feel like a job, it feels like it's life and what I always should have been doing. I feel like I've come into my own.
