Dec. 15: Jessica Alba, The 'HD Hottie'

Washington, D.C. (December 15, 2011) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in

gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Jessica Alba, who stars tonight in high-def on The Killer Inside Me at 11:40 p.m. ET on Showtime 2.The 30-year-old actress, who was born in Pomona, California, just outside Los Angeles, got into acting as a child after overcoming several physical maladies including repeated pneumonia. She was first noticed by viewers in James Cameron's TV series, Dark Angel, which aired from 2000-2002.

But Alba quickly captured the hearts of moviegoers as well in such films as Sin City, Fantastic Four, Honey, Into the Blue and Good Luck Chuck. She is scheduled to appear in the Sin City sequel.

Jessica generated controversy last year with her role as a hooker in The Killer Inside Me and she appeared in Machete, a Robert Rodriguez film that opened last September. Her last film was Spy Kids 4.
